Martin has 10+ years’ experience in working with MATs within EdTech and 6 years’ working for PSF/IRIS implementing financial solutions to the education sector.

Martin has worked with trust leaders developing digital strategies to improve financial efficiencies.

Senior Tax Manager
HWB Accountants

Alan Rolfe is the Senior Tax Manager at HWB Accountants and has 25 years’ experience of assisting clients with VAT, PAYE/NIC, personal and corporate tax advice. 

Alan specialises in Corporation Tax, reviewing all Corporation Tax computations of the firm. He is also a specialist VAT and PAYE/NIC adviser and is responsible for undertaking the firm’s PAYE/NIC and VAT health check service. 

Alan also works closely with academy clients advising on VAT matters including whether to register or claim, exempt supplies and the impact of trading subsidiaries.

Chris Mills is the Communications and Engagement lead in the School Resource Management team at the DfE. Chris joined the Schools Resource Management team in 2021, helping to co-draft in partnership with the sector the published School Resource Management Strategy: Building a Stronger System in 2022.

Prior to this Chris worked in the Apprenticeship team at the Department for Education, leading on the policy for the Traineeship programme which supported young people and adults into employment or further education.
